Our Core Practice Areas
Policy & Institutional Advisory
We support national and subnational governments, public agencies, and regional organizations with evidence-based policy analysis and institutional strengthening. Our advisory work focuses on diagnosing governance challenges, designing reforms, and supporting implementation in ways that are politically feasible and institutionally grounded.
Our services in this area include governance diagnostics, applied political economy analysis, regulatory and legislative review, institutional reform strategy, and public sector coordination support.
Climate, Sustainability & Resilience
Econalis Africa works with African institutions to design climate and sustainability strategies that respond to development priorities and implementation realities. We approach climate change as a governance and institutional challenge, not only a technical one.
Our work includes climate governance assessments, adaptation and resilience planning, climate finance readiness, and support for ESG and sustainability frameworks tailored to African contexts.
Innovation, Mobility & Systems Transformation
We advise governments and institutions on innovation ecosystems, digital governance, and mobility systems that shape Africa’s long-term development and global engagement.
Our work focuses on strengthening science, technology, and innovation policy; improving data and digital governance; and supporting systems-level reforms that enable inclusive growth, regional integration, and effective participation in global knowledge and talent networks.
Econalis Labs
Econalis Labs is the applied research and innovation arm of Econalis Africa. Through Labs, we develop data-driven tools, diagnostics, and policy platforms that support advisory work, pilot new approaches, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
Labs initiatives are developed through partnerships and pilot engagements, and are designed to complement our advisory work rather than operate as standalone public products at this stage.
How We Engage
Our engagements are collaborative, context-aware, and tailored to institutional needs. We work closely with partners to understand objectives, constraints, and political dynamics before co-designing solutions that are actionable and sustainable.
Depending on the engagement, our work may include diagnostics and assessments, strategy development, policy design, facilitation of consultations, implementation support, and capacity strengthening.
